Every transaction on GigOrbit is protected by our proprietary Escrow Engine. We believe freelance work should be built on a foundation of absolute trust.
An escrow is a secure financial arrangement where a third party (GigOrbit) temporarily holds the payment for a service until both the buyer and the seller are satisfied that the project requirements have been met.
When you hire a freelancer, your payment is securely processed but is not immediately released to the seller. The funds are frozen in our secure vault until the project is successfully delivered.
The total project cost is deposited into the GigOrbit Vault. This proves to the seller that the buyer has the funds and is committed.
The seller begins working immediately with absolute peace of mind, knowing the verified money is waiting for them.
The buyer reviews the delivered work. If it does not meet the requirements, revisions are requested. Funds remain frozen.
Payment is only released to the seller when the buyer explicitly approves the delivery. If cancelled, funds return to the buyer.
In the rare event of a disagreement, GigOrbit offers a robust dispute resolution system. If a project is marked as "Disputed," the escrow funds are immediately frozen. Our internal moderation team will review the original requirements, communications, and delivered files to make a fair, binding decision.
